What's the one CD that will totally remind you of the Summer of 2006?
A little early for that isn't it? Summer's only half over. So far, it's been marked by numerous things musically related:
- Attending Live 101's BFG 2006 featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Franz Ferdinand and The Strokes (as well as introducing me to a few bands I'd like to hear more of) with Leslie, Elea and Chelly (which, when written like that, sound like a girl band in their own right).
- Constant visits to Club Lamia (now "G3") and singing "You Give Love a Bad Name", "With or Without You", "1979", and cheesy boy band songs.
- Any song from Guitar Hero.
- Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" but much more because George Kelly played such an awesome acoustic rendition of it than its overplayed nature this summer
